Background and Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigated the effects of increase in balance ability to one
leg support static exercise for adults in 20s using empty plastic bottle in a short period of time.
Subjects: A total of 38 students received one leg support static exercise during 1 minute and 30 seconds for 6 times, for 2 weeks.
Methods: To measure balance function in experimental group and control group, we used ground, biodex balance system. Overall stability index, anteroposterior stability index, mediolateral stability index were also measured. Results: For each measurement, there was no significant difference between groups. However, there was a significant difference within the pre and post test assessments of each measurement.
Conclusion: The results suggest that the adaptation of unstable one leg posture in the single limb support static exercise could be effective for the college students.
